OUR STORY
My name is Katelyn Guthrie. Ever since I was a young girl I have loved decorating cakes and baking any goodies I could find a recipe for. Kate's Kakes began when I was a Junior at Panguitch High School. I was working at a local ice cream parlor where I decorated ice cream cakes, and dreamed of one day owning my own business.

With the help of one of my sweet high school teachers, I was able to learn the basics about marketing and create a simple logo, website, and business cards. Since then I began studying business at Brigham Young University and have continued to let my dream expand and slowly become a reality.

My dear husband has helped me realize that anyone can make their dreams come true if they put their minds to it and work towards their goals. I will always be grateful for his endless support and love.
